Job Description

MISY Mandalay, a small but academically well placed happy and inclusive school wishes to appoint a highly motivated Primary Headteacher. The successful candidate will be teaching about ten periods per week and leading the Primary school  and has these qualifications:

  • has some managerial experience and developing leadership skills;
  • has the drive and skills to lead improvement through modelling, monitoring, reflection /analysis, collaboration and effective implementation;
  • has excellent organisational skills to enable effective day-to-day running of the Primary School and maintain high quality of teaching standards;
  • high social and emotional intelligence and culturally sensitive to local customs;
  • experience leading a primary school or a Key stage preferred;
  • Able to lead by example sharing in the school’s values, vision and ethos
  • Able to lead core areas of learning across the school
  • Able to share strategic responsibility for leading teaching and learning, as part of our Senior Leadership Team
  • Able to work collaboratively with staff, parents, governors and the wider community Create an ethos within which all staff are motivated and supported to develop their skills and knowledge
  • Identify emerging talents, coaching current and aspiring leaders
  • Hold all staff to account for their professional conduct and practice

Job Description

  • To ensure the quality of planning, preparing and delivering of curriculum and lessons.
  • To be able to teach Nursery to Year 6.
  • To be able to evaluate each student's musical growth and performance, assessing each individual’s contribution to the performance of the group.
  • To be able to plan, rehearse, and direct students in musical programs for school events.
  • To be able to teach skills in music appreciation, harmony, and explorations in music and in instrumental music (i.e. band, instrumental ensemble) to students.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree with Music and other certificates.
  • High level of personal skill in and passion for Music.
  • Must have experience in teaching music appreciation, and practical techniques to students.
  • Must have flexible teaching methods.
  • Able to manage different levels of students.
